WCU Animal Club

WCU Animal Club

The WCU Animal Club is an engaging and creative space where pupils explore the fascinating world of animals through art, research, and hands-on making. Combining creativity with learning, the club encourages children to develop their understanding of different species while expressing their ideas through a range of artistic outcomes.

Sessions provide opportunities for pupils to create detailed “Animal Fact Files,” combining drawing, craft, and written information. Students explore key features such as habitats, diets, lifespans, and special characteristics, helping to build both scientific knowledge and presentation skills. From carefully illustrated animals to imaginative models and textile creations, pupils bring their learning to life in creative and personal ways.

The club promotes curiosity about the natural world while developing confidence in communication and creativity. Pupils are encouraged to take pride in their work, present their ideas clearly, and share their learning with others. Finished pieces are often displayed, creating an informative and visually engaging showcase that celebrates both creativity and knowledge.

The WCU Animal Club supports the wider curriculum by blending art, science, and literacy, fostering a love of learning while encouraging pupils to explore, create, and discover.
