Jacobs' Project
We focussed on the theme of good vs evil around climate change - getting our ideas on paper of superhero and super villain and we discussed climate change based around some of their powers. We then learned all about jobs at Jacobs to give us some roles and responsibilities on each job, we used this to think about super powers that might help us and our heroes.
We all picked from 5/6 professions i.e. engineer, ecologist, landscape architect, astronaut etc so Jacobs jobs and talked to the about Marvel characters, Fortnite, Minecraft etc.
We then designed our superheroes on A3 paper with pens etc. while the Jacobs professionals and the teachers walked round and talked through our ideas, we could then link them to climate change.
Within the workshop we thought about: colours and shapes etc - like what colours mean? We explored different things to consider when designing our heroes.
