Break Road safety

For the 13th year running Recognition Express is proud to be teaming up with the national road safety charity Brake to help promote Road Safety Week 2021 to primary schools across the UK.

We’ve all heard of a superhero, clapped for an NHS hero, but what about road safety heroes? The UK is full of them, which is why schools in the area are being invited to celebrate the heroic work of road safety professionals as part of Road Safety Week 2021 (15th-21st November 2021).

The Road Safety Banner Competition invites pupils aged 4-11 to enter this competition by creating a banner design to help raise awareness about road safety week.

Designs based around this year’s theme of ‘Road Safety Heroes’ are invited from children aged four to 11 and the winning design will be reproduced onto high quality, full-size banners for display at the child’s school during Road Safety Week. In addition, the budding designer will also receive a special personalised trophy to mark their achievement.

To get involved simply download our online entry form here where you will find a design template on the reverse which can be photocopied and completed for each design entry. Entries should then be either uploaded to the form below, emailed to competition@recognition-express.com or posted to the address provided by the closing date of Sunday 10th October 2021.

Design themes…

This 2021 official Road Safety Week theme is “Road Safety Heroes” which gives  budding artists plenty of scope to come up with a great design.

We are looking for bold, eye catching designs. Remember your road safety banner could be displayed outside school premises, so make sure it attracts attention!

Free annual membership to Brake for each participating school. This includes a Road Safety Week e-action pack with downloadable posters and tips on activities that schools can run, as well as on-going news bulletins on other Brake initiatives and campaigns.
